Why We Test Every Batch of Organic & Co Shilajit

Natural products can vary, which makes batch-level transparency especially important. Organic & Co therefore works with independent laboratory testing of each production batch.

Testing is not a marketing badge by itself. The useful question is what was tested and what the results mean. Our current laboratory approach includes composition and relevant quality and safety parameters, including microbiological quality and heavy metals.

For our retail product, Eurofins Food Testing Netherlands has analysed the finished batch. We publish the available results so customers can review the data rather than relying only on a claim such as “lab tested”.

It is also important not to combine numbers from different reports without context. Results can come from different samples, batches, laboratories or analytical methods. A fulvic-acid result from one supplier batch should therefore not automatically be presented as if it were the same measurement as a result from the final Organic & Co retail batch.

Manufacturer HACCP or ISO quality documents can be useful information about systems and processes, but they are not the same as independent confirmation of the composition of a particular retail batch.

Our principle is straightforward: test the batch, explain what was tested and make the relevant information accessible.
